The Sunderland St Townhouses are located on the main road through historic Clyde. We worked closely with the Heritage adviser to achieve a scale, form and street presence that helps enhance the local character. This medium density development is the first of it’s kind in Clyde.

Single level forms have been used to reduce the scale at the streetscape, taking their proportions from local worker’s cottages. Each townhouse has a private courtyard and an open plan living area with connection to the street.

Each townhouse has increased insulation values, recessed doors and windows for improved thermal performance and mechanical heat recovery ventilation systems to ensure a warm and comfortable space to inhabit.
