The Rutherford St Apartments and Townhouses is a substantial long-term housing investment for Habitat Nelson and will provide quality, affordable rental homes for years to come.

The development will feature 18 quality, energy-efficient homes designed for livability, reinforcing Habitat’s mission to improve access to decent, affordable housing in the region. Work will commence this year.

The complex will provide affordable long term rental accommodation for city workers, families and older adults. It will include a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom homes, with ground-floor units designed to meet accessibility standards. A communal green space with amenities will serve as a focal point, encouraging connection and a sense of community among residents.
