Monte Christo Cottages
Clyde
The three Monte Christo guest cottages were carefully designed to sit in harmony with the historic Feraud building and tasting room. The cottages are positioned to overlook the olive grove and back towards the original Feraud winery, creating a strong sense of place.
Their simple forms draw inspiration from the region’s early workers’ cottages and agricultural buildings, while the exteriors are wrapped in locally sourced, rough-sawn Macrocarpa. The acid-washed galvanised roofing softens with age, helping the buildings blend naturally into the landscape.
We’ve enhanced the cottage’s thermal performance and provided mechanical heat recovery ventilation, ensuring guests stay cosy and comfortable year-round.
