The Pavilion house has been developed with Darby Partners and is currently under construction on a costal site north of Auckland.
The roof form floats above the house with a black steel PFC wrapping around the perimeter.
The black plywood ceiling extends seamlessly from the living area to form the roof overhang.
The house has a concrete block spine to the rear which is expressed on the interior and exterior.
The larch timber cladding, macrocarpa decking and oak flooring is all NZ grown and sustainably sourced.
The house is being fully prefabricated with factory made roof, floor and wall panels.
The panels arrive on site pre-lined and insulated. These panels are engineering to provide very fast construction times and reduced labour on site.
